AKAR’s CSR initiatives to build a sustainable and better future are transforming the lives of

education in sustainable development, AKAR emphasising accessible and equitable
education, economic growth, and reduced inequalities.
Education is a fundamental human right. In the broadest sense, it is the development of and
empowerment of people with knowledge and skills. For individuals, therefore, education is
the means to employment, increased earnings, better health, and reduced poverty. For
societies, it leads to economic development, strengthens institutions, spurs innovation, and
ensures social cohesion. Each level of education i.e., primary (grades 1-5), upper primary
(grades 6-8), secondary (grades 9-10), contributes to the achievement of these individual
and societal goals. While each level of education is important, primary education is the most
significant. This is because it lays the foundation for higher learning.
As a forward-thinking business, AKAR recognises that environment protection and
conservation and social development of communities is critical for sustainable business.
AKAR’s socio-economic interventions have helped to transform the lives of communities,
especially in rural and tribal belts, by empowering them for a better future. AKAR focus on
education, sustainable livelihood, infrastructure development and social reformation.
AKAR’’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) philosophy stems from the Group’s trusteeship
concept of management espoused by its founding father, Shri R. L. Gupta. Long before CSR
found a place in the corporate lexicon, it was already textured into our Group’s value
systems. The Group has been continuously engaged in purposeful welfare-driven initiatives
which distinctively better the quality of life of the weaker sections of society.
ANAND VIDYADHAM, NAKSHATRAWADI was established in 2005. The school consists of
Grades from 1 st to 10 th . The school is Co-educational and it have an attached pre-primary
section with the strength of 1100 students including pre-primary. AKAR supported the
rejuvenation and maintenance of Anand Vidhyadham in order to improve the infrastructure
and provide a pleasant learning environment to children.
AKAR contributed to the CSR by contributing to ensure quality education; Supported with
various education related infrastructure such as Tablets, Digital boards, LED TV’s, CCTV
camera’s, Constructed additional class rooms, Provided benches for class rooms, toilets,
drinking water facilities, compound wall etc.
In essence, AKAR initiatives in education epitomise its commitment to nurturing talent,
fostering inclusivity, and driving sustainable development in India. Through strategic
